Made in ?????

Today we watched a video from Campbell Live video about where our food comes from.

We also looked at the food packets that we had brought to class.

Why don't we make all our food in New Zealand?

It's not hot or cold enough to grow the food - James G
Nuts like peanuts we can grow but we can't grow enough to make peanut butter - Elanor
The dirt isn't the right temperature to grow nuts and other things - Patrick
The temperature is too cold to grow coconuts - Ava
Some plants you just can't grow in New Zealand, like the cocoa bean - Jamie
New Zealand isn't a big enough country to grow all the different foods we want or we can't grow enough - Jimmy
It is cheaper to get food from other countries - Sam
It is cheaper to make or grow some foods in other countries than it is to make it in New Zealand.
